Members of the Korean Customs Service and their technical consultants visited BIR the week of December 6th. The purpose of the meeting was to witness performance testing and participate in a series of technical discussions with the BIR scientists and engineers. BIR’s Korean partner PosData also attended the meetings which included a trip to Las Vegas to Varian Medical Security and Inspection Group‚ a major subcontractor to BIR. 

In early 2004 the team of PosData and BIR received a contract from Korean Customs to build a dual view x-ray container inspection system at the port of Incheon. The system will be used for security and commerce purposes and will be operated by Korean Customs following BIR installation and customer acceptance.
